It is solid construcction on the cooking plates. the handles are kind of flimsy but they work. I have used this item on our gas stove like the ad showed and was able to cook a hotpocket like hotdog with cheese and mustard. It was tasty. I also just did cheese and bread. It is important to butter the bread or use what ever you use to oil your pan to cook. This helps your sandwhich get a good brown and semi crispy texture. There is only one problem with this item. It is significantly shorter in length than a regular hotdog. I had to cut mine down to fit inside the cooker. Thus 4 instead of 5 sta

Just a bit smaller than i thought but great for making quick snacks. I find myself throwing a slice of bread and cheese and meat, quick calzone.I could see even putting in leftovers and rehashing meals. I'd like to have a bit bigger but still love it. works fine over my gas range. Might have to play with temperate of fire more to avoid burning.Def will bring along if ever camping or we are in WW3.

Now worth it!
Not worth it at all. This thing was so small you couldn't make a whole hotdog if you wanted to. Barely big enough for a half hotdog plus bread. Because of this cleaning would be annoying. It separates too easily and got annoying. In the end I even returned it.
