Works surprisingly well!!!
My rent house does not have a vent hood that vents to the outside. After looking a several of these portable range hoods, I purchased this one on black Friday. This weekend I put it to the ultimate test, bacon in a cast iron skillet. I was pleasantly surprised. The fan is very quite and was visibly pulling the steam along with the odors away. Best of all, my smoke detector did not go off!!! It goes off most of the time when I cook. Does it catch 100%? No, but it works really well. I would buy this again without hesitation.

I think its Compact and easy to move, perfect for small kitchens or apartments. I love using it because I cook a lot of stir-fry, and it noticeably reduces smoke and cooking odors. Not a full hood, but very helpful and easy to clean.

Good fan for the money
Great little fan. Only downside is how easily oil collects on the outside of the fan. It doesn't clean off well because of the type of plastic, and that's something that would be easily fixed. Otherwise it works as advertised and also works great as a shower fan in a room that has a window but no fan.

Does not work.
Does mot remove odor at all, and the oil collection tray is dry. Really dissatisfied. Its built quality is good. It is portable with the right size and strength for the fan speed is good. But, it completely defeats the purpose because it does not filter out a cooking smell.
