I purchased it after the holidays, after great reviews from CNET, and others; however, after just 3 months of use the sub-woofer and rear speaker interface will not reconnect to the main soundbar. I bought the 5.1 2018 model and the sound quality is great. It was easy to install and set up. The display on the remote makes adjusting bass, surround volume, sound settings, etc. very simple. The sound bar puts out really good sound, I switched back and forth between my tv speakers and just the sound bar itself and it's a 10x upgrade, I have a Samsung ks8500 fyi. Worked as advertised right out of the box. I connected to my old but nice LG flat-screen TV and Sony Blu-Ray player using the included optical cable. A little experimenting led me to leave most of the settings at "factory stock" values. The sound quality is really good for the price. The surround sound is great. The bass and solid. I don't have a complaint with the sound.However, I had to return one sound bar because the subwoofer stopped turning on. Was totally dead after maybe a week of use. But returned and replaced.This sound bar has a problem were it randomly turns off. It's rare, but it does it. Minor annoyance.But the biggest thing is that it loses sync with the video with certain channels. I think it's specially during commericals. I can't figure out why.
