The amount of PCIe 5 lanes this board offers is the reason I bought it despite the fact I don’t have and currently don’t plan to get any PCIe 5 devices but I was looking at the next 4 to 6 years with this board and probably 2 processor upgrades during that time. First thing I did was update the bios as Asus did have an issue with 7800x3d that could kill the cpu. I didn’t both to look at what version was on it out of the box I just updated it first thing. Another reason I bought this board is I like to overclock but the 7000 series doesn’t use a lot power so on AMD this is probably over kill in

There were some early problems with the bios for this board that resulted in a widely held negative opinion and lots of returns but that has been worked out and now it's a rock solid board. I've been running this with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D and have had no problems. It's easily handled XMP memory clocked at 6800 and tweaks to the CPU without any instability. Plenty of USB ports and NVMe slots. It you don't need the X870 features, which most people don't, this is a great board for current gen Ryzen CPUs that will save a lot of money. Especially if you can get a warehouse return.

I have to say considering I went with the "Sold by Amazon Resale and Fulfilled by Amazon" unit at half price, I am blown away. I'm sure some of the returned units aren't always functioning 100% but this one I got is absolutely perfect. No booting issues, got into BIOS pretty easily and Windows installed right after. I would say if you aren't in a rush and want to try the "resale" units absolutely go for it. So for the money it was an absolute steal! A couple things to note seeing some of the negative reviews:1. make sure the RAM is seated all the way in. There's only snaps on 1 side and it might feel like it's in, but double check it can give a bunch of errors if the RAM isn't fully inserted.2. Make sure to give it a bit of time to boot. It can take up to a couple minutes as the RAM is trained and it learns. Usually the first boot is 1-2 minutes of black screen before a proper post.3. Great board. Install was simple. Most ports are in decent locations with no real trouble with cable routing. First boot was normal and got me right into the bios screen. Make sure you update the bios before doing anything else. I made the mistake of setting my memory to DOCP1 (to get my DDR5 set to 6000) before updating the bios which resulted in black screen, no post. A quick cmos reset with the back panel button and I was back in business. Updated bios to version 0805 and then enabled DOCP1 and everything else went good with no trouble at all. Es increíble como una board de 2022 ofrezca una calidad impecable entre alto rendimiento, materiales premium y gran estabilidad. Me pasé de Intel a AMD con la plataforma AM5 y tengo u 9800 x3d montado en ella funcionando perfectamente con memorias a 6100 mhz usando AMD EXPO que es el Overclock para las memorias y todo impecable. Solo hay que actualizar para tener montado los ultimos procesadores. En cuanto a conectividad no te puedes quejar: varios puertos usb 3.2 y 3.0 , 4 ranuras para NVME de los cuales 3 con PCI E 5.
