I have a bunch of old DVDs and Blu-rays sitting around, so I finally got this player to watch them again. Honestly, it does exactly what I need. Setup took just a few minutes, the picture looks really good, and everything plays smoothly. I also like that the HDMI cable was already included, so I didn’t have to buy anything extra. Works well, and the SPDIF output rocks. It's actually why I bought it. I built a monster vintage stereo that can also do 5.1 if I switch it on. ATMOS music DVD's are worth switching 5.1 on once in a while. Problem is, it's too small. I need to be able to stack components. This is too small for that and so light that you can't press the buttons on the face without it sliding about.

Jury is still out. I can't find any of the "usual" functions on the remote. This is going to take some time. I also cannot tell if I can run this side by side with my other DVD player which has a video player, which I want. My TV has enough ports. I wouldn't know a Blu-Ray picture from Adam so I don't know if this was worth the money. Time will tell.

Easy setup and great picture and sound. Image is sharp and clean and it's easy to adjust resolution to suit one's own taste. Worth every penny .

Cannot get the audio to sync with the video playing the DVD. It's not the TV's adjustment, it's the JoySailor. Very frustrating to watch characters mouths move, then a second or two later, the words are heard. I would send it back, but I've already thrown out the box. Won't make that mistake again.
