My new favorite tool by far. I’m starting to look for projects around the house I can do as an excuse to use this tool more. I absolutely LOVE how easy it is to switch blades. The tool isn’t too heavy and is easy to manouver. It’s efficient and versatile. And I honestly can’t believe I didn’t have one before now. LOVE THIS TOOL. The carrying case is great... keeps it all tucked away when not in use. And it’s a great way to keep the blades organized and with the tool too. Splurge for the hard case and not the soft bag.

Finishing off our basement and laying down some carpet squares. I borrowed my brother's oscillating tool from Harbor Freight and thought I had completed the installation. I knew I wanted one of my own but I have a perception that you get what you pay for. I read reviews on Wood Magazine to get an idea of what was out there. The Bosch had a positive review so I ordered this one. Back to completing the carpet installation with thresholds, I found the need to undercut the doorframes some more. This tool has been a life saver for me with all of the projects around the house. I'll give a quick example. I did natural slate tile in my recreation room, and while installing base moulding I noticed huge gaps between trim and floor because of uneven tiles around the perimeter. This little gem allowed me to shave high spots off the tile, which allowed trim to lay perfectly flat!! During same install, I didn't like grout after it dried too bright. I have no idea how we lived without this super handy cool tool. I foresee a few other tools being "retired" out because this one replaces so many other tools. As a non-handy person, I did need to watch a few videos and my husband initially used the wrong blade/tool to cut some nails so we had to get a replacement blade, but easy to find and easy to get new blades which are color coded. In his defense the blade said it was ok for metal and it did cut a bunch of nails but then the teeth started to bend. But totally user error. Love how easy it is to use and lightweight.

I bought this because of the advertised versatility of the starlock system ( how its compatible with all other brands of blades).... It can only accept bosch starlock blades. And they're the most expensive ones. They appear good quality, but if you hit a couple nails while cutting wood, they're toast. And the blades are roughly $30 a piece. If I could do it again, I'd buy the new oscillating tool from harbor freight. It's essentially a copy of the fein, and take the standard oscillating blade. Hoping someone will read this and save a couple hundred bucks.

This is my second oscillating saw, the first was another manufacturers' but no comparison in quality and power. This tool is top shelf, very strong, feels great in your hand with great vibration control. The saw just feels as if the blade and the saw are one so accuracy and control is really enhanced. I know Bosch makes another saw with more power than this model so unless you're sawing very tough and thick materials all day every day, this one is extremely capable.

I’ve used this many times and has yet to fail. Starlock is the way to go.
