Really love this range hood. Replaced a (probably) 20 year old Broan hood that was super noisy. I was able to remove the old unit and install this unit on a Saturday afternoon and evening, figuring in breaks to run to the hardware store and spend time with the family. We've been using it for a little more than a month now and I'd say I'm very satisfied with it. Overall a well made, clean & simple design. Fan is very quiet on the low setting, and for those smokey dishes the high setting ventilates very well. The stainless steel is of good quality and well constructed. I purchased this range hood to replace my old one that had seen better days. It had ability to vent to about any way and since I didn't know which way it vented, was a smart purchase for me. We had it installed and it looks so great! love it! A few issues came up, though, which are worth consideration: First, the fan and light buttons are hidden underneath and take some getting used to locating them. I bought this unit to replace a 45 year old Braun. It still worked fine, but showing its age. Bought the same brand as the original had held up well. It is a nice unit, fans exceptionally quiet, looks good. It is about 6” deeper than the old unit, not a problem. What I wish were different is the lighting. The old one had a single bulb dead center that lit the whole stove and back wall. This one has two lights 3” from the front edge.
