As a former owner of lots of industrial woodworking equipment, I highly recommend ANY Dewalt product to friends. I no longer spend as much time on this hobby and have less room for equipment. Now I use mostly Dewalt equipment. This little router exceeded my expectations. It is very easy to handle and use - very intuitive! For most handheld routing, this router does the trick and does so wonderfully. Couldn't be happier with it. And if you already have the batteries, it's a no-brainer. Matched it with "Wood Grain Junkie" larger acrylic base - love it.

Lightweight, but packs plenty of power. Runs smoothly and quietly. Not having to deal with a cord is a huge advantage on a router, even more so than most other tools. Even a small 2Ah battery is enough for most hobby needs, although for large projects you will want a bigger battery or multiple batteries.
