Dewalt tools are good tools. They are reliable but their batteries are very expensive. I often purchase another brand that seems to have as much power; because their batteries are half the cost of a Dewalt battery.

The thing about buying battery powered tools is that pretty much you buy into the battery design. So, I waited for a while trying to figure out the market. In the meantime I bought a few, of different makers with, aha!, incompatible batteries.Anyhow, eventually I decided that Dewalt makes very good tools... so I have slowly replaced all of my old ones.And, once I settle on the type, I started to buy the larger batteries. So, it's nice to be able to buy the tools without the battery, as I get the batteries when they go on sale. I got like 8 batteries by now, in 3/5A ranges. And I got my eye on

I purchased this for a specific job and really didn't think I would use it much. Totally wrong about that. With the variety of blades and attachments available I find myself reaching for it all the time. There is a little bit of a knack to using it but you learn quickly. I should have bought one years ago!

I've had a corded Fein Oscillating tool for several years and it still works great. Those of you that have used cordless tools, you'll understand why I bought another one. Taking the cord off just makes the job nicer and Dewalt has a fine line of cordless tools, this one is no exception. The blade attachments are endless.

This DEWALT bundle has met my expectations and was a good price. Definitely a DEWALT fan.

I bought this tool when I was working on installing a floating floor in my basement. It was perfect for cutting under door trim to fit the floor in.I really like the variable speed trigger and feel the tool is overall more ergonomic than other brands.

I picked this tool up to remove 25 year old marine carpet. I couldn't be more pleased with the performance. With a couple of the Dewalt blades this thing is a beast.I have been able to run this for 3 hours (project time, not constant run time) on a 5Ah battery and still have 1 bar left.The LED light up front is unexpectedly useful in the hard to reach corners.For carpet removal this thing is stellar. I also look forward to seeing what other kinds of projects I can complete with this tool. Overall a great purchase.

This multi tool made the work I needed it for easy, safe and exactly what it said it would do. I would buy for a gift.
