This is great for creating the option of having broadcast TV. A separate antenna is needed but this has a coax input and HDMI output with an RCA option, so you can connect to an older or newer tv. This is so much smaller and works a lot better than the ATSC box I bought for another TV. It has an IR extender, so you can use a remote with this behind the tv with the IR sticking out the front inconspicuously.
I get all the channels I can this is a working product but you need to know how
I needed this as my smart tv has no tuner and no coax outlet to which to connect an antenna. Works as it’s supposed to but I found the instructions a little confusing. I figured it out. I don’t understand why it wouldn’t include a usb cord for power but at least I had an extra.7/26: revising my review to 1 star - I have had horrible problems with the stations pixelating and later freezing. I have to restart everytime to the point of not even want to try again. I submitted a warranty request for a replacement, received a quick email with three things to try to solve the problem. I did all three
I replaced an OTA Set Top box with this device in my RV which is equipped with a smart projector that does not have a tuner. It performed just as well as the box and freed up valuable counter space. (Typically my RV came equipped with a digital antenna. I believe an antenna is required for device to function) I have not yet experimented with the recording capabilities, however I do recommend this product.
It seems to work as intended but make sure your tv has a USB import. Mine didn't so I'm probably going to have to return my converter because of this
I was having some issues setting up my converter box so I emailed customer service and got a fast response with clear instructions on how to set up my converter box. After following the instructions my converter box was working just fine. I’m very happy with the product & the great customer service from the company.
Worked as advertised, except I have not been able to properly get volume button to work. Connected to indoor antenna. Able to receive several digital stations.
