    I have been looking into this machine and it's twin sister (Janome mc6650) for some time. Ultimately I picked this one due to price only. Love the 10" throat space. It's quite compared to others I've used. The only negatives are nitpicking type things. Such as when you use the auto cut on the thread the thread is very short. So you have to grab it to make it longer for the next stitch line. I don't like the stitch select board on top and removable. Again personal preference and nitpicking. Instruction booklet is easy to follow there are tons of videos online on both of the machines and the par

    Great machine!

    What a lovely machine. Pleasant sounding, very solid, sturdy feel and it's been sewing my quilts beautifully right out of the box. Would highly recommend this machine. I started with a Jazz II and it was very sensitive to everything and jammed alot, so I upgraded to this. My Babylock had issues with the larger thread spools since they laid sideways in the spool, but the thread stand on this works great! The programmable series for stitches (ending with locking stitches) was perfect for tack quilting little flowers all over a comforter/quilt for my granddaughter. Love the color of the case too.

    Loved 95% of the features

    I have been using this machine 10+ houses a day since I purchased it. I love 95% of it. The stretch straight stitch is SLOW, even when set on fastest setting. And the Emergency stop when I got a bead on fancy fabrics is annoying

    I got a lemon.

    I purchased this machine because I have an older model that is an absolute work horse. This machine has been a complete disappointment as the bobbin casing doesn’t fit just right. I’ve had it to the shop multiple times already replacing with factory parts and it still rattles, thread tangles, needle stabs through the casing, timing goes off, back to the shop. I’ve been to 2 different shops and they both agree that mine is a lemon but after spending over $2000 on this machine there is no fix. It sits in my sewing room wasting away.
