I use to sew many years ago, made my little girls play outfits. My first machine was an Elna. It was easy to use. We went overseas for two years and I took my Elna with me. We were stationed in Okinawa and there you have "SEW GIRLS." The lady loved my machine and made me several outfits. They can make a pattern from news paper. The Sew Girls were amasing ! I continued to use my machine when we returned to the states. I went looking for a new machine, but to my surprise a good many have computers. I found myElna on Amazon. I could not wait to start sewing on it. It is a great machine.

I am an experienced sewer and have several machines. Some of the other machines are so involved to get set up and start sewing a new project. I wanted a simple, basic machine that was easy to set up and use for simple projects and repairs. This is an excellent small machine and a great value for the price. Set up was simple and I started my project right away. It is a full size machine but very lightweight. Excellent product and value. The only negative is that it only comes with the most basic sewing feet.

Not as solid construction as my old Elena. Too much thread breakage!

I was looking for a replacement for a 3/4-size machine I gave away a few years ago. This one fits the bill. Has just enough stitches for utility, and I can get it out and put it away without any trouble.
