General Electric WR55X10942 Refrigerator Main Control Board Assembly

The board on our refrigerator stopped working after a power spike / outage. We tried to troubleshoot but nothing worked. The website provides a feature to verify that you are getting the correct replacement part for the refrigerator based on make / model and it verified that I was ordering the correct part.The replacement board arrived in a couple of days after ordering and took less than 15 minutes to replace - it was very easy to do and fixed our broken refrigerator immediately. Other sites I found online had the part listed for $450 (shipping extra) or more but Amazon had it for just over $

Our son helped us by trouble shooting the issue with our refrigerator. We actually just needed capacitors. The capacitors on our current panel were expanded (puffy looking). After ordering, we realized we might not have the tools to remove the old capacitors from the Control Board. Fortunately we ordered this Control board at the same day. My son used YouTube and/or the manual to install. Very easy! The hardest part was pulling the fridge out, and pushing it back in. The cost was $200 for the Control Board, which was much less than having a service person come out, and then padding extra money

Refrigerator front panel where ice and water is dispensed from was no longer working. Shorty after the refrigerator quit cooling. Found a youtube video on how to diagnose refrigerator main control panel located on back of the refrigerator and determined with a multimeter that control panel was no longer working. This part fixed my refrigerator took less than 20 min to replace. Happy so far!

The item works like a charm! I loss power last night and the side by side returned with the clicking noise and no longer cooling. I install the control board, its now working like a charm. The one down side about the board was there was no grounding wire as pictured, taking the grounding wire off of the old board was not easy. Ladies you can repair your refrigerator yourself, I was done in 45 minutes. The repair man that came to do the repair stated the part was no longer being made for this model.

The item does not appear to be brand new. The ground wire is missing, and some connectors are partially bent. It arrived in a bag, not in its original box, which does not match the description provided.I’m very frustrated and disappointed, as this is not what I expected or paid for.

I purchased this item in an attempt to fix my 19-year old GE Profile top-freezer refrigerator (Model# PTS22SHSARSS), the problem being that the compressor stopped working. This control board did not fix the problem, which turned out to be a failed compressor start relay. The refrigerator started right up with this control board and a new compressor start relay, and I ran the refrigerator for about one day. Fixed my GE refrigerator. Power went out for hour or so then came back on at my house but only the inside light work in the fridge. YouTube said it was this and they were correct. Fridge and freezer kicked on and cooled like it did before the power surge after the simple swap out if this part. Seen a slight burn mark on the old one once I got it out. Thanks for saving me hundreds!

Worked as needed. I used my original two green ground wires. My old one had what looked like ourple and red burnt computer chips on the back. This one didn't have the chips. Fit my GE fridge model # GSH25JSTA SSI also replaced the defrost heater, thermostat, and thermistor. Hopefully will be trouble free for quite some time.
