once everything is connected the input will switch automatically based on which device is in use, so i don't need to use the remote almost at all! there is a micro usb to power the switcher, but there are no included hdmi cables so make sure to have those on hand. currently using for pc and consoles and no problems! this was exactly what i needed for my set up

Simple one button switch that lets me share one large monitor with two (2) computers over HDMI cables. I did not want or need another remote. The button works perfectly. And the resolution if fine. There is a slight lag when you switch between computers, but that has nothing to do with the actual switch. It's just the computer scanning the new device to see what is now connected to it. They do the same if you connect a mouse or printer

Does what it's supposed to do. I like that it detects the active input but you can also switch on the remote or button on the unit. If you need a 3 input hdmi switcher, this works well.

I really wanted this to work. I have a 1080P projector and needed to switch between at least two different HDMI sources, one of which is a laptop computer. It seems to work when the laptop HDMI output is connected to Input 3 (green light over Input 3 and laptop screen showing on the projector), but nothing is detected on either Input 1 or Input 2. Also pressing the button to rotate to Input 1 or 2 does not work since it does not seem to detect a signal on these two inputs. Providing 5V power to the box did not make any difference.
