This is a very handy little set top box device that lets you play downloaded media content from your phone, tablet, or PC. It will play music mp3s, it will play movie or video mp4 and mkv files. (And other formats like 3gp, etc.) It will also display your jpeg photos you take on your phone or even your premium digital camera. It will do this all on your TV and home theater receiver. I like this a lot. I wanted a way to display my cell phone (home) videos that wouldn't break the bank (i.e. photo frames that you have to pay subscription fees). I attached this to a TV and now that's my video collage.A couple issues I have with it:1) I purchased a jump drive and I've noticed that if you don't put it in "just right" that it doesn't read it. No worries, I can live with that.2) I will have it play all videos in a folder and after an indeterminate, short amount of time, it just stops. I got this to replace a higher level product also made by Agptek. That one had its own issues and stopped working entirely after a couple years of light use.So I get this Agptek in the hope I could use the old remote and have 2 that work for it.I plug it in and at first it won’t display anything. My TV didn’t even recognize something was connected to the HDMI.I switch to another TV and get it to work. Then I navigate the top menu of the media player to settings and the player freezes. I use this to watch videos and movies on some old TVs. Simple and easy to use interface, plays movies well, loads quickly, has useful features like adjusting the screen size, selecting subtitles, and its pretty compact and feels well built. Extremely useful and practical to play movies on the go or on a small space.

I'll list my positives and negatives below in bullet format, with final thoughts underneath.Positives:-My 2TB and 4TB USB 3.0 hard drives work perfectly.-The remote is great quality, and not overpopulated with a million buttons (requires 2 AAA batteries/not included).
