First off Lauren has gone above and beyond with this book and here I thought Misadventures Of A College Girl was her best, this book right here has what it takes to make it in my opinion the best of her writing. I absolutely adored this story! Coby is a golden retriever MMC. Lydia is a single mom of 3 who is drawn to Coby after a tragic incident brings him to the hospital she works in. She is caught between moving forward with her life or staying caught in the past. Coby and Lydia’s story is one of recovery physically and mentally, love at first sight, and repaving the roads they thought were lost. Coby’s love not just for his lady but her children was so beautiful.

Lauren Rowe is one of my favorite authors and I downloaded Hero at midnight the day it released just so I could get in a few chapters! Then I kept reading because the first several chapters were sad as they explained in gut-wrenching detail the emotional pain Lydia went through when she lost her husband and Colby’s pain as he suffered burns and other injuries fighting a fire.
