In Concert [DVD]

I just happened to see this group listed when buying some Il Divo CDs, and boy, am I happy I did. If you like both pop music and opera, these guys will blow you away. They all have beautiful voices, the arrangements are first-class, and even the choreography has been taken care of, they don't just stand there and sing. On top of that, they are all very good-looking, not that that has anything to do with their talent, but it sure makes for a feast for the eyes also. I bought the DVD, which I've been playing almost daily since I got it, and plan on buying all of their CDs now. Hope they come to

I was blown away by Amici Forever! Five gifted vocalists come together to create the first "opera band." These young performers can help make opera/classical singing accessible to a pop music-inundated world. (Don't get me wrong, I love rock and pop, but this singing style is so beautiful, that I hope performers like Amici Forever can garner opera a wider audience.)The vocals were great. This is a wonderful concert DVD with excellent singers.The music selection is a good mix of familiar songs.Unfortunately the DVD format is not anamorphic widescreen, but the video quality is still quite good.

I cannot swoon enough about this beautiful masterpiece. Amici, unfortunately, has been disbanded. Capture their exquisite harmony and solos while still possible. Nick Garrett, one of the singers, also plays piano at the pro level, and this DVD features him accompanying the others as well as himself. Even if you hate opera, you should consider buying this disc. It was featured on PBS not so long ago. Amici called themselves an "opera band", and it is a description that fits. They are unique in their treatment of pop songs with both a symphonic and an operatic quality.

Beautiful music! It's been a while since they did this show. I hope they come back and do much more. Tsakane Valentine needs to be featured much much more in the arrangements. Tsakane's voice is absolute heaven!

A beautiful and enjoyable orientation to these very talented singers. If you love good music you will love this disk.

I sent for this CD twice but never got one that had anything on it. You must have had a bad batch because I finally asked for a refund.I love this group and would have enjoyed hearing them.

I've long been a fan of Amici, having both of their CD's which I play frequently. Did not realize they had a DVD out until I found this one at Amazon. So glad to finally see the group performing, and it is indeed awesome. They are beautiful people for sure, but the production was also so well done. We have watched this show just about every day since buying it, and have shared it with many friends.
