Great insight to a wonderful song, performer, and songwriter

Really enjoyed this look back at the song from my high school days. The backstory and i interview with Mr. McClean provided much illumination to this remarkable song that has touched many people throughout its history!If you want to delve into the songs history and explantation - I highly recommend it! Saw him in concert a year ago, he puts on a great show and takes you back to those earlier years!

EXCELLENT!!

I feel like anyone who gave this documentary anything less than 5 stars is either too young to understand the meaning and significance of the song or they don’t appreciate great songwriting and music. The lyrics are historical and educational once you understand what Don McLean meant and how he felt when he wrote it. I’m 64 and I admit that I didn’t know what a lot of it meant until I watched this. I’ve watched it twice on Paramount Plus in just the last few days and it brought me to tears several times. Maybe I’m just emotional but, wow, this song has SO much meaning and it’s always been fun
