Ok, been a few months and too many YT videos. Mostly ranch-related, wildlife to indoor stuff but also hack film projects. Very happy with performance; works well; above-average accessories (xtra battery; cords, etc.) I film way too much stuff but in a filmable area to put it lightly so carried on hikes, in garden, around farm; good and compact and ok after inevitable drop or two. Got this for a trip with friends this summer! It was fantastic! It’s small enough to fit in a pocket or small purse. Two batteries so it has a decent amount of life. Setting up is super easy. The video quality was exactly what I wanted from it.

So far I've only inserted the battery and turned it on and tried it out. Before that I learned that you need to buy an SD card to store videos, and I purchased a 128gb card. I found the place to insert the card. I still have yet to find out where to plug in the charging cord. It's a mystery.When I went outside to try it out, the zoom is terribly lacking. I have other cameras that can zoom 30 or 40 feet to make it look like 5 feet away. This one still looks like 30 feet away at the most powerful zoom.Other than these shortcomings, the camera seems solid and dependable for short range videos.Upd

I bought this so that my video production class could use it to film public service announcements of two minutes duration or less. I could not find any information about the audio for this device so I’m going to add that here. When three or more people having a conversation are filmed from 5 to 7 feet away, the audio sounds fine once your SD card is uploaded to your computer. I know it says that it only takes up to a 30 2GB SD card, but I have a 64 card in and it records and uploads to my laptop just fine. The quality of the video shot is also acceptable. here are my observations that you might want to know if you are considering this camera:note: I bought this camera to record my band playing live. I didn't have much expectation for the audio quality, as my plan was to use a different recorder for the audio.1) it records in AVI format and it breaks the recording into separate files that are about 13 minutes long and 4 GB large. This is about 3 minutes per GB. Compared to my cheap android phone, it records in MP4 and it gives me one big file that that fits about 6 minutes per GB, so twice as much recording time per GB. that means twice as long

I really like this camera, it is nice to have around and takes really good footage. I just have 2 big problems with it. The first is any videos longer than 8-10 minutes, I have to use a video converter just to watch it on my laptop. The second problem is the sd card wont be read even if i already used it. It will keep asking me to format it once it stops analyzing it. I am using a micro sd card in a micro sd card adapter. Still a really nice camera but please look out for these.
