After a LOT of research into different island vent hoods, we went with this one and have been very happy with it. It has three speeds:- Quiet - This is quieter than any vent hood I've ever had to the point I don't notice it at all while cooking. But it is definitely still moving air and really reduces smells.- Low - This is as loud as 'low' on the old builder-grade vent hood we had, so definitely noticeable, but moves a LOT of air.- High - This is noticeably noisy but moves a TON of air. Like you feel a breeze if you stand between the hood and wherever the make-up air is coming from.Installers
