Mygica A681 Pro External TV Tuner, Digital HDTV USB Stick Dongle, ATSC 1.0 and QAM TV Format, Compatible with MacBook and Windows PC - Silver

This is a phenomenal device to bring TV to your iMac or your MacBook. But that’s not why I bought it. I bought it to work with my Google TV and it did not work with that at least from when I tried it clearly states for windows or macs in the included instructions.

I really like the product. gave it four stars because the suction cup could be better for the antenna and the actual USB tuner thing could be a little bit more sturdity built. other than that it works really good and finds the same channels as the larger tuner I use for my TV.

This product does not work on Windows 11 laptop as specified. I have uninstalled installed the driver several times but I cannot get this product to work. When I check the driver status it reports that the driver is corrupt and that it has a bad image. I tried to contact Mygica through the chat feature, the online message feature, and via email but every time I try to submit my question looking for support it says that sending my message failed. I finally got this working by searching and searching until I found someone who posted the drivers because this device is really designed for windows 7 (not a type-o the drivers they have on their website are for windows ) Windows 11 will not recognize it. I finally got it working with the mentioned old drivers which windows 11 kept telling me were a security risk and would compromise my system. SO you can get it to work with a lot of searching but the security issue remains.

NOTE – PLEASE READ (Windows 11 users): This tuner can work on Windows 11, but it is not plug-and-play. If you’re not comfortable downloading drivers/software and doing a little troubleshooting, you may struggle. This kit may work great in cities but in rural areas, or at campgrounds, your mileage may vary. One way to get more out of this tuner is to get a larger HDTV antenna to pick up more distant signals. That said this is tuner does work with my Mac and has a licensed viewer app (eyeTV 3 and eyeTV 4) which can decode QAM and ATSC. Not sure if it works with more modern open source free apps like SichboPVR or Jellyfin but it should as this does support the ATSC 1.0 standard. This does not work with any modern Mac OS. You can install the software 1 million times and it still won’t work on any Mac OS over 14. Product was returned.
