I've had this sandwich maker for a couple of weeks. Overall, for the price point, it's more than adequate. I've only made grilled cheese sandwiches with it, two at a time. I have buttered the cooking sides of the bread (Sara Lee Butter Bread), and have used two slices of cheese on each sandwich I've made. If you're careful to center the cheese on the bread, you will get no ooze, or only minor ooze, in one corner or the other. This works for me. The bread I usually use fits perfectly in the sandwich square, i use two slices of bread and one slice of cheese. It does smash the sandwich flat, but I don’t mind. The main thing to me is it is easy to clean. The cheese doesn’t ooze out of the bread, so it’s easy to wash off and rinse with a dish rag. First time I use two slices of cheese, the cheese was too much, but still easy to clean after I used it.

After a year and a half of having it. Easily scratched, be careful. I only wanted it for my cheese sandwich, less than a minute than disconnect from power and let it close. For the price is a good buy.
