Porter-Cable PCA3000 5-Piece Oscillating Accessory Kit

These work very well with the Porter-Cable system. The blades will cut through most types of wood along with a 16D common nail if you happen to run into one when you're cutting or trimming up a construction project. A good product for the price.

Good price for a 5 piece cutting blade set. As with all oscillating tool blades, the durability is the weak link. The type of material you cut is going to determine how long the blade will last.

The accessories are OEM quality for my Porter Cable oscillating tool, and they come in a very nice case, with a window on top so I can see at a glance what blades are in there. They are standing up to use, as well as any other blade I have used on my P-C oscillating tool. I have used them to flush cut trim where no other tool/blade would work without first removing the trim, which always comes with the risk of splitting/cracking it. At least, I saved 15 minutes of work, at best I prevented splitting antique trim that would have been hard to find a matching replacement for.

I put oscillating tools in the same category as a Dremel tool. Something I don't use very often but is helpful in limited circumstances. The Porter Cable tool itself is very good quality, but all of the PC blades I've used have been poor. This looks like a very high quality set, but the box is the nicest part. The blades are really only good for cutting drywall. If you plan to cut trim or other wood I'd look elsewhere. The metal these blades are made of is too soft to stay sharp for more than a few minutes and they quickly stop cutting. I have used Rockwell and other blades in the past which p

the five pieces within this kit did not fit the Porter-Cable PCE605K oscillating tool I purchased. The kit has an arc of round holes while the PCE605K requires elongated hole instead. My attempts to force fit one of the pieces nullified my returning of the PCA3000 kit with a clear conscience.

It works and the price was right. Probably not as good as Fein, but is much less expensive than Fein.
