I got this because my TV’s tiny speakers were slowly failing. They were never great, but they were acceptable for my small space. This streambar has been a total change to watching tv. I was initially looking for a streaming system to replace my TVs reinstalled junky software. I had a ROKU player in the bedroom that was great, so I was looking at ROKU. I had previously looked at other sound bars but hookup to this tv was kinda iffy with good and bad points. I fell in love with this Roku soundbar mounts bar. I never had a soundbar before and my coworker has been telling me about getting a soundbar. Since I have a Roku tv, I had to get a Roku soundbar to go along with it. That’s when I came across this soundbar and fell in love with it right away. The sound quality is superb. You can hear detailed sounds you normally wouldn’t hear when using the normal tv speakers. It sounds amazing whether you’re watching a move, a show or especially when playing video games. I just bought a Roku Streambar SE that comes with a simple remote. I've set it up and it's working fine. However, I have a very old Samsung LED Smart TV that does not have HDMI ARC or CEC, so I set the Streambar up using the HDMI Ports that come with the TV and the optical cable. Like I said, everything is working fine, but the simple Roku remote that comes with the Streambar won't turn the TV on or off. I can turn the TV off with other remotes, including the universal remote that came with the TV, but I would like to turn off the TV using the Roku remote by utilizing the TV's IR (infrared), b

This gets 5 starts from me for filling a very niche need that nobody else seems to have covered. I have an extra computer monitor that has an HDMI 2.1 input but no audio ports except for a headphone jack that puts out terrible quality sound (even if I run it to a headphone amp). I wanted to turn this monitor into a TV with a streaming device, but pretty much everything on the market only solves the video part. Because the HDMI port is 2.1, that means it has an audio return channel even though it's not marked as eARC, so I took a chance and bought this hoping to solve both the video and audio.

Setup was very easy on my 32" Roku TV. Before, the sound coming from my TV was only average. Now it is GREAT.I highly recommend this Roku Streambar SE. Now that I have it, I will never be without it. Major sound change!

I spent countless hours looking at sound bars. I was looking for sound quality, size, price, and ease of connection. I read review after review and kept tally on everything I was looking for. This little bar checked off all boxes. I had to wait on ease of connection until after it arrived and I began hooking it up. WOW! It is so simple! I am 74 and sometimes the simplest of instructions is a major battle to understand and complete ( includes furniture!). My Roku TV did all the setting up. Great sound for a bedroom. I have an older Samsung TV that works great but the sound is terrible. I’ve been a Roku user and fan for many years so when I saw the Streambar I trusted it would be an inexpensive solution to the sound, plus is has the Roku system built in. The sound is actually great, way better than I thought it would be. You can adjust the sound settings so can customize based on your needs. The only reason it isn’t a 5-star for me is the WiFi connection. When the Streambar wakes up, probably 25% of the time it doesn’t connect to my wifi and I have to reconnect through settings.
