Update August 2022: I've now had this for just over a full year and have no complaints. It still sounds great and have no hesitation in recommending it if you want a compact and easy to install system. In this case compact does not mean a sacrifice in the ooomph you can get in sound. My one request to Samsung would be the option to add additional side speakers as desired. Right now you get two that are spaced apart from the soundbar. I would like to add two or four more at times to literally surround yourself with speakers. Perhaps smaller side speaker add-ons in the future, Samsung?Original r

I’ve always had a receiver and surround speakers. That means I’ve always had a quagmire of wires tangled together and never easy to work on. I finally got tired of the mess and decided to simplify my life. The search for the best soundbar led me to the Samsung. The power and sound quality out of this unit is awfully impressive. The sound is AMAZING. this thing gets loud and even at max volume (this HURTS so do not recommend doing this All the time) there is no distortion. Two problems: first the display on the sound bar is on top of the unit, so you can’t see it when you’re sitting at your couch or chair or whatever, which means you have to get up to see what you’re doing. The remote is also super basic and you need to see that screen to use it, which makes it kind of pointless. Second, the app doesn’t control everything on the sound bar which means you are forced to use the tiny screen to make some sound adjustments

I was looking for a premium soundbar to go with a new Sony A80J 77" OLED TV. My requirements are simple since I'm not a gamer. Get movies/TV programs, whether it's streamed, through a cable box, or with a UHD Blu Ray player to the TV and the soundbar with no lag or dropouts and provide immersive sound. Does it deliver? YES. I have had this product for 2 weeks now and waited a bit to write this review so I could test it out. Disclaimer: I have a Samsung phone which made the whole set up extremely simple and easy. Its how I control the volume, bass and style of sounds amount others. I was so excited when I got this delivered, and boxed it up for return the same day.Here is what was good:- definitely the most 360 surround/atmos experience as compared to Sonos arc with one sl’s as surrounds (no sub but that shouldn’t increase surround effect) and as compared to a previous 5.2.2 (two subs and atmos height speakers) traditional home theater setup. I have been using this sound system for months and love it! It is a bit tricky given the way I've mounted it, given that the indicators are on the top of the soundbar instead of on the front, but well worth it. I replaced a Klipsch system with this Samsung setup because I needed to pass sound from my laptop to the soundbar.
