I use Schmetz Universal Machine Needles for all my cotton and polyester projects on the sewing machine and serger. I have various sizes and styles. Simply love them. Great price. I also like the color identification markers for various sizes and styles.
I've used Schmetz for years and have always had great results with their needles.
Good price for great needles. Cheap needles I picked up years ago ended up scratching my needle plate so bad when they broke that I had to get a new plate. So I threw the rest away to go w this better brand. Sharper. Much easier to sew with, thread does not break so easily .
I love them. i have a Bernina machine and it only works well with Schmetz needles.

I use nothing but Schmetz on my Juki TL sewing machine. They last a while and have every size and use you could want. I use universal needles for everyday projects.
Every once in a while I have one break on me, but I'm still not an embroidery master and it's mostly when I walk away and fabric bunches up on my machine.
