Shape Fitness Music: Cardio 3

I take this cd to the gym in my Sony Walkman to do cardio work on the treadmill and arc trainer (it's like an elliptical). I feel like a dinosaur compared to everyone else with their smartphones strapped to their arms, but who really cares? I used to own this music on a cassette tape and it wore out because I played it so much. The beats are really quick and get your heart rate up and most (maybe all) Shape music is by the original artists. Another plus. You can't go wrong with any Shape music cd's.

This CD is marketed as walking music - are you kidding??? Unless you can really shake a leg, the songs are way too fast for walking. This would be more appropriate for jogging, dancing or inline skating. The slowest songs are the warm up 136 BPM (which is still pretty fast) and the cool down song of 132 BPM. The cool down song is the only one that's a reasonable beat for walking.The thing I hate about most of these workout CD's is they don't post the beats per minute for the songs. Not what I was looking for...too fast but still a good CD.

Great for aerobics or power walking! Really gets the heart pumping to some music that you can enjoy!!!

For me, this music is fantastic. It lasts exactly one hour, which is perfect for my workout. I also like that the beat keeps you pumping at a high level. I haven't yet gotten bored with the music, and I like that one song just merges into the next without any pause. I would like to get another Shape Cardio tape based on this purchase, but am having trouble after reading the reviews, and listening to some of the selections. I definitely want to keep the BPM's higher than 125...any suggestions?

Excellent CD! It gets you moving as soon as you plug in your headphones. I walk for 60 minutes listening to this CD, and I don't even realize how long it's been. The music arrangement includes warmup and cool down songs too!
