I finished this book last night. Around 8:15 or 8:30. The cover screams fall. But then you dive into the book and see it is set in August. In the summer. And you feel disappointed about that. The cover does not lead you astray. In the last half of the book, it is set in Fall. There is fall in the book. That’s how I felt when I first started reading it. I was a little bit sad. But as I read on, I felt hope about the book being in Fall. I know I am not the only one who felt this about the beginning of the book. I’m not going to lie—after reading the first "Dream Harbor" book and strongly disliking it, I approached "The Cinnamon Bun Book Store" with extreme caution. But, surprise! It was… not bad? It’s still got that over-the-top small-town charm that can feel a little forced, but this time around, the story actually worked. This was pretty good. I don't like how long the miscommunication trope lasted for but this was pretty good. Very cute too. I love a bookseller as a main character. Plus a partner to take them for a wild ride is the best. I listened to this as a Libby borrow and man did I fly through it. I am really liking this series so far and can't wait to read more from this author!

Where do I even begin? Well, first our main characters in this book are Hazel and Noah. Hazel works at the local bookstore and is more of a safe and predictable person.
