Best Cooktop and Oven Cleaners in 2026: Glass Stove Top Creams, Kits and Sprays Ranked by Owners

Eight cooktop and oven cleaners ranked by formula, safety and owner reviews: Weiman kit and Daily spray, Cerama Bryte kit and 2-pack, Easy-Off Fume Free, Nordicare, Bar Keepers Friend, Therapy.

Our top pickWeiman Glass & Ceramic Cooktop, Stove To…9.4Our score

A glass or ceramic cooktop looks perfect for about a week, until the first boil-over bakes on and the cloth you grab leaves a cloudy smear. The right cleaner is a mild abrasive cream that lifts burnt-on sugar and grease without scratching, backed by a razor scraper for the real disasters and a daily spray for the splatter. Ovens are a different chemistry: a foaming cleaner that dissolves baked grease on a cold oven, ideally without the lye fumes of the old cans. We ranked the cooktop and oven cleaners in our beauty and health catalog by formula (cream, spray or foam) and what it is safe on, what comes in the box (pads, scraper, cloth), whether it polishes or protects after cleaning, size and packs, and what tens of thousands of owners report after cleaning the stove they thought was ruined.

We have not scrubbed a test cooktop with every product ourselves; the verdicts rest on the spec sheets and on the owner review history. Prices are not printed because they change daily; every button opens the live Amazon page. For the rest of the kitchen, our all-purpose cleaners guide covers counters and our under-cabinet range hoods guide covers the grease before it lands. Do Best Deal ranks on owner history, not sponsorship.

How we picked

  • Surface safety first. Every cooktop pick is non-abrasive on glass, ceramic and induction; nothing here is a scouring powder.
  • Kit versus refill. We say which picks include pads and scrapers and which are cream or spray only, because the scraper does half the work on burnt-on food.
  • Daily or deep. Sprays for after-dinner wipes, creams for weekly polish, foam for the oven; we label each.
  • Rinse and residue. Noted where a product needs rinsing or leaves a protective film.
  • Owner history. Every pick holds a strong or excellent owner rating across hundreds to tens of thousands of owner reviews; the ranking weighs volume, rating and how often the product gets used.

Weiman Glass & Ceramic Cooktop, Stove Top & Oven Cleaner Kit
TypeHeavy-duty cream kitContents10 oz cream, 3 non-scratch scrubbing pads, razor scraper with safety-stored bladeFormulaNon-abrasive micro-bead creamSurfacesGlass, ceramic, induction and smooth-top ranges; GE, Whirlpool, Frigidaire, ThermadorFinishStreak-free polish, no cloudy residueFrequencySafe for daily useOur score9.4/10

The Weiman kit is the cooktop cleaner most people buy and the one owners rate best, and the reason is that it includes everything the job needs. The 10 oz cream uses fine micro-beads that break down baked-on sugar and grease without scratching glass or ceramic, three non-scratch pads do the rubbing, and a razor scraper with the blade stored flipped for safety takes off the carbonised ring a cream alone will not. A light buff with a paper towel leaves a streak-free shine with no cloudy film. It is widely praised by owners for rescuing cooktops they had given up on; most owner complaints mention the cream running out quickly and the pads wearing. Weiman is clear it cleans and polishes but does not repair scratches, which is honest. Start here.

Pros
  • The most-reviewed cooktop cleaner in the catalog, with an excellent owner rating
  • Micro-bead cream lifts old burnt-on stains without scratching
  • Scraper and three pads in the box
  • Buffs to a streak-free shine with a paper towel
Cons
  • Ten ounces goes fast if you polish weekly
  • Pads wear out and need rebuying
  • Scraper takes care to use flat; a tilted blade can scratch

Cerama Bryte Cooktop Cleaning Kit, 10 oz Bottle, Scraper, Tool & Pad
TypeHeavy-duty cream kitContents10 oz cleaner, POW-R Grip pad tool, scraper, 1 cleaning padFormulaNon-abrasive; no phosphates, dimethicone or siliconeSurfacesGlass, ceramic, induction, radiant, halogen smooth topsRecommendedGE, Electrolux, Frigidaire, Whirlpool, Maytag, Viking and othersOriginMade in USAOur score9.2/10

Cerama Bryte is the cleaner the range manuals name, and the kit mirrors the Weiman: a 10 oz bottle, a razor scraper, a single cleaning pad and the POW-R Grip tool that holds the pad so your knuckles stay off the glass. The formula is non-abrasive and free of phosphates, dimethicone and silicone, which means it cleans rather than coats, and it is made in the USA. Owners widely praise it for the price and for doing exactly what GE and Frigidaire say it will; most owner complaints mention getting one pad instead of three and a slightly duller finish than Weiman because there is no silicone to add gloss. If you want a clean cooktop more than a shiny one, this is the value pick.

Pros
  • Same four-piece kit idea as the Weiman, usually for less
  • Recommended by name by the major range makers
  • Grip tool makes pad scrubbing easier on the hand
  • Strong owner rating from a very large review base
Cons
  • One pad in the box versus three in the Weiman kit
  • Silicone-free formula shines less than Weiman
  • Scraper quality is basic

Weiman Daily Cooktop Cleaner & Degreaser, 2 Pack with Microfiber Cloth
TypeReady-to-use daily sprayContents2 spray bottles and a microfiber clothFormulaDegreaser with sodium hydroxide, non-abrasiveSurfacesGlass, ceramic, induction, gas ranges, air fryer baskets, microwave glassFinishStreak-free, no rinsingAward2026 Good Housekeeping AwardOur score9.4/10

The Weiman Daily spray is the after-dinner product: spray the warm-not-hot glass, wipe with the included microfiber, buff, done, with no rinsing and no cloudy film. The degreaser formula uses sodium hydroxide to cut splatter and oily haze, so it also does the gas range grates, the air fryer basket and the microwave door, and it earned a 2026 Good Housekeeping award. Owners widely praise it for keeping the cooktop from ever reaching the scraper stage; most owner complaints mention that it does nothing for an already burnt-on ring, which is correct and is what the kit above is for, and that the cloth is thin. Keep a bottle by the stove and the kit under the sink and the glass stays new.

Pros
  • Spray, wipe, buff; no rinsing and no cream residue
  • Excellent owner rating from a very large review base
  • Works on gas grates and the microwave glass too
  • Two bottles and a cloth in the pack
Cons
  • Will not shift burnt-on rings; that is the cream and scraper
  • Sodium hydroxide formula, so keep off hands and aluminium
  • Microfiber cloth is thin

Easy Off Fume Free Oven Cleaner for Ovens & Air Fryers, 24oz
TypeFoaming oven cleanerSize24 oz pro sizeFormulaLye-free, fume-free cold-oven formulaUseOvens, broilers, barbecue grills, air fryersGlovesNot requiredApplicationSpray, wait, wipeOur score9.0/10

Easy-Off Fume Free is the oven cleaner for a house with children, pets or lungs: a foaming cleaner with no lye and no choking fumes that works on a cold oven, so you spray at bedtime and wipe in the morning. It is rated for ovens, broilers, grills and air fryer baskets, and the 24 oz can covers a double oven. Owners widely praise the lack of smell and the no-gloves use; most owner complaints are that it is slower than the yellow-can heavy-duty version on carbonised grease and needs a full overnight dwell for a neglected oven. For regular maintenance every couple of months it is the one to use, and it is the only oven cleaner on this page because the cooktop creams are not for oven interiors.

Pros
  • No lye and no fumes, so the kitchen stays breathable
  • Cold-oven formula; no preheating
  • Strong owner rating from a very large review base
  • Larger 24 oz can for double ovens
Cons
  • Slower than the lye version on a truly neglected oven
  • Needs a long dwell, often overnight, for heavy carbon
  • Foam drips if sprayed on the door at a steep angle

Nordicare Stove Top Cleaner Glass Ceramic - Induction Cooktop Cleaner Polish And Protector For Everyday Use - No Scrubbing Pad Needed - Leaves Protective Film - Made In Denmark (8.45oz)
TypeCleaning polishSize8.45 ozFormulaNatural raw materials; cleans and protects in one stepSurfacesGlass ceramic and induction hobsFinishGlossy with a protective film that eases the next cleanOriginMade in DenmarkOur score9.2/10

Nordicare is the European approach: a cream from Denmark that cleans the hob and leaves a thin protective film behind, so the next boil-over sits on the film rather than bonding to the glass, and routine cleaning needs no pad at all. It also makes the fine scratches every cooktop collects less visible. A little goes a long way, which offsets the small bottle. Owners widely praise the gloss and how much easier the second and third cleans are; most owner complaints mention streaking when too much is used and the absence of a scraper for burnt-on messes, which it is not designed to replace. Use the Weiman or Cerama Bryte kit to get the cooktop clean, then switch to Nordicare to keep it that way.

Pros
  • Leaves a protective film so the next spill wipes off
  • No pad needed for routine cleaning
  • Makes fine scratches less visible; strong owner rating
  • Small bottle goes a long way
Cons
  • No scraper or pad in the box
  • Smaller bottle than Weiman or Cerama Bryte
  • Film can streak if over-applied

Bar Keepers Friend Cooktop Cleaner (13 oz) Multipurpose Liquid Stovetop Cleanser + Cookware Cleanser & Polish (12 oz) Stainless Steel Cleaner & Degreaser for Pots, Pans, Bakeware & Grills (Pack of 2)
TypeCooktop cream plus cookware cleanserContents13 oz cooktop cleaner and 12 oz cookware cleanser and polish, two packsFormulaNon-abrasive cooktop creme; cookware cleanser for stainless and aluminiumSurfacesCeramic, gas and glass cooktops; pots, pans, bakeware, grillsScraperNot needed per the makerHeritageSince 1882Our score9.2/10

Bar Keepers Friend sells this as a pair because the pan bottom that scorched is usually what burnt onto the cooktop. The 13 oz cooktop creme is non-abrasive and safe on ceramic, gas and glass tops, and BKF says it needs no special scraper for burnt food; the 12 oz cookware cleanser and polish takes the brown rings off stainless and aluminium pans and bakeware. Two of each in the pack. Owners widely praise the cookware cleanser especially, and the cooktop creme for being gentler than the classic BKF powder; most owner complaints mention the price for four bottles and people confusing the two, since the cookware cleanser is not for the glass. For a household that cooks hard in stainless it is the useful bundle.

Pros
  • Cleans the cooktop and the pans that scorched it
  • Non-scratch cream for ceramic, gas and glass
  • Strong owner rating from a brand with a long record
  • Cookware cleanser restores stainless to a streak-free shine
Cons
  • Priciest option here because it is two products twice
  • Cookware cleanser is for pans, not the cooktop; keep them straight
  • No pad or scraper

Cerama Bryte Cooktop Cleaner for Glass-Ceramic Surfaces, 18 oz, 2 Pack
TypeHeavy-duty cream, refill sizeSizeTwo 18 oz bottlesFormulaNon-abrasive; no phosphates, dimethicone or siliconeSurfacesGlass, ceramic, induction, radiant, convection, halogenApplicationQuarter-sized amount, rub with pad or dry paper towel, buffOriginMade in USAOur score9.4/10

Once you own a scraper and pads, the cream is the only thing you run out of, and the Cerama Bryte two-pack is the cheapest way to restock: two 18 oz bottles of the same non-abrasive, phosphate-free, silicone-free formula as the kit, enough for a year of weekly polishing. A quarter-sized dab, a rub with the pad or a dry paper towel and a buff is the whole routine. It carries an excellent owner rating. Most owner complaints mention the bottles being bulky under the sink and the matte rather than glossy finish that comes with a silicone-free cream. Buy the kit first, then this.

Pros
  • Thirty-six ounces of the cream the range makers recommend
  • Excellent owner rating
  • Lowest cost per ounce on the page
  • Same formula as the kit, so pads and scraper carry over
Cons
  • No pads or scraper
  • Big bottles are awkward to store under a small sink
  • Silicone-free, so less gloss than Weiman

Therapy Glass Cooktop Cleaner Bundle with Microfiber Cloth - Glass Stove Top Cleaner and Polish for Ceramic, Electric, Induction and Flat Top Surfaces
TypeCream cleaner and polish bundleContents16 oz cleaner and a microfiber clothFormulaAcid-free, non-scratching creamSurfacesCeramic, electric, induction and flat-top glassRinseNone; wipe excess with a dry towel and buffOur score8.8/10

Therapy is the smaller brand on the page and its pitch is a gentler chemistry: an acid-free cream that loosens burnt-on stains and polishes to a shine, bundled with a proper microfiber cloth rather than a thin one. It is rinse-free; wipe the excess with a dry towel and buff. Owners widely praise the smell, or lack of it, and the quick result on fresh spills; it has the fewest reviews here, and most owner complaints mention needing a scraper for old carbon, which Therapy does not include, and the price against the Cerama Bryte refill. For a household that prefers a milder formula and wants the cloth included, it is a sound alternative.

Pros
  • Acid-free formula for people wary of harsher creams
  • Sixteen ounces plus a quality microfiber in one bundle
  • Rinse-free; strong owner rating
  • Fast-acting on fresh burnt-on spills
Cons
  • Fewest reviews here
  • No pad or scraper
  • Pricier per ounce than Cerama Bryte

Cream, spray or foam

A cooktop cream (Weiman, Cerama Bryte, Nordicare, Bar Keepers Friend, Therapy) is a mild polish: fine particles in a liquid that abrade burnt-on residue more gently than the glass, then buff off to a shine. It is the weekly product and the rescue product. A daily spray (Weiman Daily) is a degreaser for fresh splatter and needs no buffing. An oven foam (Easy-Off) is a different chemistry built to dissolve carbonised grease in an enclosed box, and it must never be used on the cooktop glass, where it can etch. The order of operations for a neglected stove is scraper, then cream, then daily spray from then on, with Nordicare as the finishing film if you want the next clean easier.

The scraper is not optional

Burnt sugar and the black ring under a pot do not come off with cream alone; they come off with a single-edge razor held flat against the glass at a low angle, after the cream has softened them. That is why the Weiman and Cerama Bryte kits include a scraper and why the cream-only picks are second purchases. Hold the blade flat, push rather than dig, and replace the blade when it nicks; a scratched cooktop is almost always a tilted or damaged blade. Cerama Bryte and Weiman both sell replacement blades and pads, and the scraper that comes in either kit works with every cream on this page.

Induction, gas and what not to use

Every cream here is safe on induction glass, which is the same ceramic glass as a radiant top. For gas ranges the daily spray handles the grates and the enamel, and the Bar Keepers Friend creme is rated for gas tops; do not use a cream on a gas burner cap. Oven cleaner stays in the oven. Powders, steel wool and the green side of a sponge will scratch any glass top, and ammonia glass cleaner leaves streaks that bake in. Cooking tip that saves cleaning: wipe a boil-over with the daily spray as soon as the glass is cool enough to touch, because sugar that is allowed to cool and reheat is what turns into the ring that needs the razor.

What is the best cleaner for a glass top stove?

A non-abrasive cooktop cream with a razor scraper and non-scratch pads. The Weiman kit has the best owner rating and includes all three; the Cerama Bryte kit is the value equivalent and is the brand most range manuals name.

Can I use oven cleaner on my cooktop?

No. Oven cleaners like Easy-Off are formulated for enamel oven interiors and can etch or discolour cooktop glass. Use a cooktop cream on the glass and keep the oven cleaner for the oven.

Will a razor scraper scratch my glass cooktop?

Not if the blade is sharp, held flat at a low angle and the glass is cool. Scratches come from tilted or nicked blades and from grit under the blade. Soften the residue with cream first and replace blades when they chip.

Is Weiman or Cerama Bryte better?

They clean equally well by owner account. Weiman includes three pads and leaves a glossier finish; Cerama Bryte is silicone-free, slightly cheaper and named in most range manuals. The Cerama Bryte 18 oz two-pack is the cheapest refill for either kit.

How often should I clean a ceramic cooktop?

Wipe splatter after each use with a daily spray, polish with a cream once a week or when it looks dull, and reach for the scraper only when something has burnt on. A protectant like Nordicare after the weekly polish makes every step easier.
