We got this in April and and it almost Dec .I've used it everyday. Now i can give an honest opinion, pros and cons.*This was really easy to install. Our tile guy installed it for us.*As soon as you get it, open it and remove all packing and run it to see it work. Including the open and close shutter thing.* The noise level is normal . It has 2 powerful fans. What'd you expect?* ours is vented outside. The fans are really powerful , i usually run it at leval 2. I like almost everything about this hood. The light dimming is not a common feature, and was important to me, but it's a "press and hold" thing, so it goes from bright to dim, and if you hold it a nanosecond too long, it'll turn off, so you can never get it to the dimmest setting, pretty frustrating. I'd be happier if there was just 2 or 3 settings with each press. The case is extremely heavy duty and quality made. I looked at dozens of vent hoods and spent hours making my selection. Top priorities for me were a) high volume air movement, b) bright, adjustable illumination, c) solid and durable construction, d) good price point. I saw this unit with 900 CFM and a price under $400 and I bit despite not having heard of iKTCH.The good news: A) The 4-speed motors do a pretty good job (not as good as I expected but OK). Wonderful range hood at a great price. Friends are envious.The instructions are not in proper English and are a bit confusing (why is it so hard for manufacturers to get this right in their manuals?). But! do these four things to make installation easy:1. Throw in the trash the screws and crappy anchors that come with the unit and buy #10 screws with a hex head that you can use a socket on with your drill. So much easier to install this way and you won't risk stripping out the head of your screw in these awkward positions.2. Temporarily mount a 2x4 on the wall about a half inch below the lower

4 years, and product is working as expected. I need a replacement filter and just found out that there is no way to contact this brand or seller.

It works great. The suction is fantastic. Love the hand waving for the fans. The directions are not very clear on the lights being able to dim or not and I couldn’t figure it out. Then about a week later I stumbled on how it dims/brightens. Pressing and holding your finger down makes it dim or brighten. Go figure. How simple and boy did I feel stupid. Ha ha. The fans came on full blast a few times when I got my head too close and moved from right to left but that’s fine. It’s just a learning curve. I absolutely love this though.
