You hold the button down and it will dim the light so that was user error on my end.Additionally, the seller did reach out to address my other concerns to my satisfaction. The suction power on this unit is amazing we have only had to use it at full power once due to a spill over in the oven at full power this unit cleared things up quickly.We are very pleased with the purchase.************

Update: The seller worked with my concerns and I am completely satisfied with the out come. I didnt know that newer homes come with an electrical outlet in the cabinet above the stove. Update February 2025 - I reached out to the support and they are sending a replacement part for the hand control sensor. My previous attempts for help were blocked by email my filtering, but got a response after I used their website support submission form. Very good customer service.Range hood itself is nice and sleek, all functions work a few months in. Easy to clean, suction seems much stronger then the small shaded pole motors you get on an average Broan or similar economy range hood.Looking forward to finishing exhaust passage to see if it improves suction.Happy with purchase so far.

It worked finally. When we first installed it we could hear strange noise. After taking the fan cover off we found a piece of paper manual inside. After removing the paper it’s much quieter. The gesture sensors are not well designed and can be triggered by mistake easily, the remote barely works when I put it within 6 inches from the hood basically useless. We haven’t used it for cooking so will see how well it can handle fume and smoke
