I bought this HDMI switcher to replace an ailing, dying one that I had been using for awhile. That one I picked up for less than half of the price of this one. I bought this because the IR on my television went out, I could no longer use my remote to switch between sources. I have to say, I'm impressed. This product was promising at first, but it quickly went south and I had to return it for a refund. I don't know if the unit is defective or if this is "normal" because I couldn't get the manufacturer to respond to a single email over a week long period. It's safe to say that if you experience problems with this product you are likely not going to be able to get any help at all from the manufacturer. I put this device into service yesterday to replace a similar and very recent Cable Matters switch that died suddenly after less than a month's use. This switch is literally better in every aspect relative to the Cable Matters switch. Not only does this device have four ports instead of the Cable Matters three, it has a much better design and build quality. Update 12/13/2019: Doesn't work with a Chromecast, which is now in one of my 2 HDMI ports of my tv. When my Sony DVD player is being routed through this, the video will "wink" every couple of minutes, making whatever movie you are watching, unwatchable. So now I have to unplug the "outlet" cable going from the box to the tv, and plug my DVD playing directly into the TV, defeating the purpose of the box. Routing my computer through it works great, with no issues. Great product in theory, but it hasn't lived up to it's billing and won't be buying another one to replace it. I will be finding anot
