I was looking for a laptop that could handle basic tasks, and I saw this Chromebook and thought that it would work out well, and it has. This is my first Chromebook, and I am impressed. I've seen other Chromebooks, and this is an impressive upgrade over the typical Chromebook experience. The Intel Core i3‑1315U gives it far more speed than the entry‑level processors usually found in ChromeOS devices, and paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, it stays smooth even with multiple tabs, apps, and streaming running at the same time. At first I was turned off by the name Acer because I've had products by them in the past that were short lived. I also had no idea what a Chromebook really was. I've heard that they were slow and that there wasn't much you could do with them. Will this Chromebook as definitely changed my mind I thought it would be stripped down to only the basics but so far I haven't been held back by anything. The speed of this thing is about as fast as any PC and i have not experienced any slow processing or crashes at all and I usually run multiple apps and my search engines always have way too many windows

Excellent Chromebook! This Chromebook is the best I've owned so far, as it looks and feels like a premium device. The specs are excellent, performance is superb, quick in speed, easy to use, and battery life is long lasting. The graphics are perfect for watching movies or playing games. I would highly recommend this laptop to anyone looking for an upgrade.

This is my first Chromebook type of laptop, I have been using conventional PC laptops for years. I was looking for something light duty and easy to carry around, maybe something I could travel with. I am not a gamer.The transition from a full on PC to a chromebook was difficult for me, I missed a lot of the things that i could do my laptop. At 3.5lbs it is even heavier than my premium laptop. This being said, this is an issue with my decision to go with the chromebook and not a reflection of the quality of the Acer Chromebook Plus 514. This Chromebook feels quick and responsive for everyday tasks. The touchscreen is smooth and the display looks sharp and bright. Startup is fast, browsing is snappy, and multitasking has been no problem for normal use. The webcam quality is also better than I expected. This Acer Chromebook comes with a case, the laptop, and a charger. The laptop isn't too heavy, has a nice feel to it. The hinge opens easily enough and you get a really nice keyboard, touchscreen, and trackpad. The trackpad is VERY responsive and sized like a Macbook trackpad. The screen is very vibrant and the CPU/GPU is responsive. It's a Chromebook, so don't expect the world. It is loaded with the Chrome OS and boots up very quickly. I think this is a nice laptop for the price.
