This device allows 12v power plug powered gadgets to run from AC I got this because I wanted to pair and setup my new android car play screen in the house before I installed it in the car. I bought this so I could run a 12V device from a normal wall outlet and it worked like I needed it to.It is simple, easy to use, and saved me from having to come up with some homemade power supply arrangement.For the price it has been a handy adapter to have around.4 stars.

Took this on a 6 week camping trip... used 3 or 4 times and then the outer layer of the cable started to crack and power would shut off intermittently.... garbage and too late to return after getting home from the trip.Update 1/4/2026: the seller has offered me a full read fund upon reading my review above. I appreciate their attention to customer service to resolve the issue. I await the refund.

I recently purchased this item to use with my car refrigerator/ice chest. The refrigerator has been working fine in the car, but the first time I tried using the new cord in the hotel room it seems to have malfunctioned. Initially it was humming and all seemed to be fine, but after just a few minutes the humming stopped and the cord was extremely hot. Since that time, the car refrigerator no longer works. Of course, we don't know if the problem is with the refrigerator, or with one or both of the cords, but since the only thing different was this converter, I think it was the issue.
