I’ve used RoKu, my smart tv, Xbox, fire tv, and chrome tv. Apple is simply my favorite. It is reliable. Roku is good, but I have internet connectivity issues with wifi. Must reset often. Fire tv is ok, but not the best interface. Chrome tv is like my smart tv. I hate the interface and it has constant wifi connectivity issues. Apple 4K is flawless and fast. Real fast when compared to all others. Is it worth the premium? For me yes. I am willing to pay for quality and reliability on my main tv. In the bedrooms or on other auxiliary tv’s you can use the others. Those are Cheaper alternatives that

Works great and as it should.

This is the first Apple TV that I have had and so far it is a mixed bag. The picture quality is amazing and I like the way I can connect to several streaming services. For most services it is great but for DirecTV stream, the remote is very cumbersome to use. I tried to use another multi device remote but it wasn’t any easier. Part of the problem might be the DTV app and not necessarily the device, but it is much easier to control DTV on my Fire Stick 4K Max than it is on my Apple TV. I bought this to replace a relatively new Roku ultra because Roku abruptly stopped supporting the VidAngel app

I like everything about the Apple TV except some of its integration features and it’s touch pad. The touch pad prevents you from using the center/select button while watching videos, because if you press it, it registers that you are fast forwarding or rewinding. I turned the touch pad off because I got tired of accidentally scrolling forward or backward for wanting to pause or adjust settings.This created a whole new set of problems though. The search feature is the single most annoying part of this device. Every time I want to search a movie for example, my iphone goes haywire urging me to u
