Initially I wanted something to replace an iPad that was using to watch movies and content in bed but the lack of a touchscreen took some getting used to in that regard. Having lived with it for a while, I find myself using it more than my MacBook Pro for daily tasks like email and a few other apps that are easier with a physical keyboard. If I were picking nits, I'd trim a half star for some of the cost-saving choices Apple made with the Neo --- worst among them being the lack of a backlit keyboard (or at least printing the keyboard characters in a highly contrasting color --- like white-on-gray and not dark gray on lighter gray). I will preface with saying I know absolutely nothing about computers, I needed a new one after my old MacBook’s battery died and they told me it was too old to fix 😑I don’t use my lap top for work or anything, just regular internet things and such. The battery life does last a long time, which is what I was looking for. I don’t find that it over heats or anything when it runs. It has great visuals, and sound. It does what I needed it for, and it’s great that it was a bit less expensive than the Air.. I also love the color options. The citrus is a nice yellow-green and that’s kinda perfect.
