This is definitely overkill for any current-gen builds, but why not get it? Ya know?Oh, you can use the included 12v-6x2 to 2x PCIe cable for another two PCIe ports. Came in handy when putting together my MO-RA IV 400.
Build quality is excellent! Probably a required upgrade for future RTX 6090 series. I was thinking to get additional set of Type 5 Corsair cables, but cables out of cage are great and nothing else is required.
First REALLY wanted to love w this psu as I have never had a issue with corsair’s power supplies.. I regress the cable clips are horrible as both cables retention clips were busted off and rattling in the bottom of the box.. ( tried to contact Corsair customer service as I didn’t want to breakdown and return this unit for a couple of cables that could simply be replaced.. Well that was a waste of my time as Corsair customer service made Asus customer service look top notch.. horrible tbh! The most glaring issue though as the power cable going into the psu. I wanted a PSU with Icue link built in. I got it, however the motherboard power supply cable had a bent pin from the factory. Its a corsair specific tiny pin with literally no way to correct the issue without a new cable. Now i know it easy to blame the consumer but I have messed up plenty of things and own up to it. this was bad QC. I couldn't wiggle it or anything to get it to mate with the psu. I also believe the pins as a whole are too loose for comfort. I will keep the seperate icue link hub and use a full size power wire with standard psu connectors
