I had been battling a tedious networking issue with my PS5 where it would randomly not show images in the PlayStation Store and I’d constantly get the error “can’t find what you’re looking for” while browsing PSN.I was using the XB8 Gateway/Modem from Cox and neither PS support or Cox could help. So I purchased this router and it all went away. For reference I put the XB8 in bridge mode which basically turns off the Gateway’s WiFi signal and allows you to connect your own router while the gateway supply’s it with the internet. Plugged in a single GT6 router and the PS5 is working as it should.

I own an avg size split level home, around 1300 sq ft. Give or take. I have it set up near the center wall on the lower lever. (Closest to center of the house and out of the way) the signal is great through out the house and the older items that may be an issue with the tri-band, I made a guest network with the older WiFi name and password then set it to 2.4 GHz, unplugged old router and gave it a few min. Great product. Fast speed router. No issues

Pretty much a solid 5 star router except for 2 little details.The setup process requires using an ap on your smart phone.You have to log into the router WiFi from the ap for the setup.Then the router has to access the internet during the setup.But I get my internet by tethering the router to my smart phone.I got it to work by alternating back and forth between logging my phone into WiFi, and connecting my phone to the internet every few minutes. I purchased 3 of the GT6 routers to replace my WiFi 5 setup of 4 routers containing a mix of various models of ASUS routers setup in an ASUSMesh configuration. I had 3 in my house and one in my detached garage, all connected with wired connections. Edit: after a year of having this router and using it as an AiMesh node to a GT-AXE11000 it has started to have serious problems. One day it randomly began being the only router which any devices could connect to. Internet access was only working through the GT6 and not through the AXE. I could not get this resolved with ASUS Support. We tried rolling back firmware on both routers, which didn't work, and then re-updating them back to current version which also didn't work. We also factory reset both devices, which now the GT6 will not connect to the AXE at all. When trying to set it in AiMesh
