I bought the Asus AX82U router to replace my 6 year old Linksys router which was starting to lose range and WIFI speeds during testing,etc. I seen this model and fell in love with the look and the cool lights on the front. But seriously this Asus model is no joke when it comes to performance either. After the easy setup I was testing speeds in area inside my house and outside. The 5 GHz channel seems to give a great signal for me, even through my stone on the outside of my house. I pay for 400Mbps currently and I get over that inside my house. That being said my house is just under 1000 ft.².

Update 7/16/24: it seems to be holding up. Purchased in September 2023. Came with firmware 3.0.0.4.386.50224 installed. It's been through a few firmware updates and is now on 3 0.0.4.388.24231. No drops or latency spikes seen. Strong, consistent wifi signal too. Only time will tell me how reliable it is at this point .10/14/23: My initial experience with this product?
