When researching speakers I could not find much information about the HD6 from websites other than professional reviewers or from the manufacturer so I suppose I'll write a review after having owned these speakers for over 6 months.I am not an audiophile, but I do research audio equipment and make purchasing decisions as though I were one. I love these speakers. I have only had them for 3 days and out of the box, they DO NOT sound good, trust me. Tidal sounded muddled on day 1. You must break in the speakers for 40-50 hours as directed. I tried to accelerate that process by blasting pink noise through them while I'm at class and when I got home I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone who complains about the bottom end response on these speakers must be crazy. Does it boom and shake the room like a stand alone sub? No, but definitely close. It nails all the notes (except for that very bottom end) cleanly even at higher volumes with no distortion. You feel it in your chest more than my 8 inch sub I had on my last set of speakers. I bought 4 sets of studio monitors to test out - all from well known brands. This is the second brand I tested and I couldn't believe what came out of the speakers. Having connected the pair over stereo cable at first, they were ridiculous flat - and extremely low volume to boot. They sound fantastic. Only Bluetooth powered speakers I could find that use a class A/B amp va class d. Makes for much better audio channel separation, staging and presence. Also allows external powered subwoofer that really completes the set.
