This tool is designed better than the previous version, you can see your battery life indicator without removing the battery, it can get into more tight spaces, it has the ability to turn the light on by moving the switch to the first position without actually turning the saw on which can be very helpful for getting your cuts lined up if you're working in a dark or confined space such as under a cabinet.The battery fits much tighter in this one than the last generation which drastically helps reduce the level of vibration when using. Great weight, solid, easy tool change
Like everyone else, I wish I'd have bought one of these a decade ago. Solid tool, great balance and weight, doesn't vibrate too much. Sorta wish I'd have gotten the 4Ah battery, but I have an ecosystem of Bosch tools so a few 2Ah packs are always charged. Solid kit

Came in a beat up box directly from bosch and not amazon with security stickers clearly opened. Absolutely no protective packaging and laying loosely in the box. No way this was new. I'm keeping it because I need it for a job, but I'm not happy Bosch reselling returned item as new.

Blades are expensive, and generic blades are not readily available.
I really like this tool. I already have all Bosch tools, so obviously this was the only logical choice of purchase. The only thing I don’t like, and it is definitely a reason to buy a different brand, is the blades are different than any other brand, so they are very expensive. I have found a couple of off brand blades that do work, but they are still expensive compared to the availability of really cheap blades on the market. If I could have found a different tool that would run on my Bosch batteries, I would have definitely gone with it because of the cost of the blades.
