    I have been a loyal Canon customer for decades, upgrading my camera every so many years. A few years ago, I made the move from EF to the mirrorless RF system, gradually replacing my lenses in the new system. I have always been a happy Canon customer. Until today.I purchased the new R5 Mark II as an upgrade to replace my older R5, which I had purchased right when it first came out. But crazily, the R5 Mark II won't accept any of my existing batteries and appears to have a digital rights management to ensure that you only use the new E6P battery.     Not for US Market - GRAY MARKET CAMERA

    After waiting almost a month for my pre-ordered camera, Amazon sends me a GRAY MARKET camera. When trying to register this camera it said "The serial number indicates this product was not intended for sale in the United States and is ineligible for registration and support in the U.S." I called Canon to get this resolved and they confirmed it was GRAY MARKET. After all this time waiting for my pre-ordered camera from Canon, YES Canon was the supplier when I pre-ordered, but my receipt says "Sold by Amazon.com services Supplied by: other". Very upset about this.

    The camera came after I needed it. I didn’t open the box. When returning the camera you will need to pay for shipping. It’s in a huge box and it’s heavy….check other options.
