Too long, didn't read section:It's a jack of all trades and a master at doing plunge cuts while minimizing cutting into things behind what you're cutting out. Blades/accessories tend to be more expensive vs. other types of tools. Be sure to wear hearing protection.11/4/2025 Update:It has come in quite handy. I'm currently working to replace some rotted areas near the roof of my porch. It was able to make cuts to remove some damaged sections of 1x8, that I couldn't do with my reciprocating saw (though i did use my reciprocating saw to deal with cutting nails.) I found having some "long" blades

One of the Best Tools in My Bag
This DEWALT 20V MAX XR oscillating tool has been excellent. I use it regularly for my handyman business, and it has plenty of power for cutting, trimming, removing old material, and getting into places where other tools simply won’t fit. The variable-speed trigger gives you great control, blade changes are quick and easy, and the cordless design makes it extremely convenient on the jobsite. It feels solid and well built, just like I expect from DEWALT. Definitely a tool I would recommend to professionals and DIYers alike.

This is one of my favorite tools is very versatile. Price was great and included battery, charger and bag. So far has been performing great. Easy to change blades. The carrying case is sturdy. the included battery is small but the whole package is still a great value.

Great Tool for Many Purposes. Glad I Finally Bought One.
I'm happy overall with the tool. I've been considering buying one for quite a while, and I finally took the plunge. It's going to take some practice to get good with it, and I need to find the right blades for my purposes, but the tool itself is very nice. The only reason I took off a star is that DeWalt tools either come as a tool only, or they come with a charger and batteries. Well, I bought DeWalt because I already have some batteries and way too many chargers.

Fantastic tool for blind people to do small jobs
I had a situation at work where I needed to cut off some dowels we’ve been trying to find a tool to do that for years. I work on paper shredders I’m an assembler at a company in Durham, North Carolina and I make paper shredders and I needed to cut off some dowels and someone brought me the oscillating tool and it’ll go right under the lip of the wood and cut that dowel off right even with the wood and it does a great job but it’ll do many of that many other jobs. In fact I’ve heard that people buy this thing to saw off the bottom of a door and that it works for that I have not done thatyet, bu
