I really enjoyed Don’t Believe Everything You Think. It’s an easy and straightforward read, but it gives you a lot to think about. I especially liked the way Joseph Nguyen explains overthinking and how easily we can get caught up in our own thoughts and create unnecessary stress for ourselves. The book helped remind me that just because I have a thought doesn’t mean I have to believe it or let it control how I feel. I found the message comforting and surprisingly helpful in everyday life. It’s a short book, but there are definitely ideas I’ll come back to again. I would recommend it to anyone wh

Easy and Thought-Provoking ReadI really enjoyed this book. It’s an easy read but gives you a lot to think about, especially how much our own thoughts can affect how we feel. I liked the simple way the ideas are explained and found myself going back to certain parts. Good book for anyone trying to change their mindset and overthink less.
If you suffer from overthinking that leads to uncontrollable anxiety, this book is for you. I felt like I was going crazy at times because I didn't know why I couldn't stop my mind from racing. This book not only made me feel like I'm not alone in this mind struggle but it also took me to the root of the problem. This book has many different examples of thoughts you may have that lead to the misery of over thinking. After reading this book, I have a better understanding of not only what causes me to feel the way I have but even better, I know how to recognize the start of it and stop it. My on
You may not understand the path the book is taking at first, but stay with it, the reward is worth it. It has introduced me to a new way of viewing my world. The author, Joseph Nguygen does such a great job with the analogies, practical applications and writing in a way that doesn't feel like a textbook or self-help book. The information is easy to understand and a quick read. This coming from someone who rarely finishes a book! I can't wait to apply what I've learned.
Easy read, don't hesitate to buy to gain or regain peace in your life, in order to open the path you want for your life. Like the author Joseph Nguyen said in the book, the concept of not thinking is simple, but not easy to do as humans. He says, thoughts create, thinking destroys. So true!I also appreciate the summary at the end and a guide with steps to non-thinking.I believe this book found me. It was only a week after a breakup. I didn't hesitate to buy the book because I knew I was about to go on a journey of questioning everything that went wrong. I am so glad I followed my intuition. No
Amazing book. I read it the summer before my junior year of high school with college applications ahead. I have so many dreams and so many people in my ear telling me what to do and what not to do. After reading this book, I know what I want and I know that I don’t need to know how to get it.
A Simple Book That Hit Me DeeplyI picked up Don't Believe Everything You Think not knowing quite what to expect, and it ended up being one of the most impactful reads I've had in a long time. Joseph Nguyen has a gift for taking a profound idea — that our thinking itself is the source of our suffering — and making it feel completely accessible and real. What struck me most is that this isn't another book telling you to "think positive" or rewire your habits. Nguyen goes deeper than that. He invites you to question the nature of thought itself, and once that clicks, it genuinely shifts something.
This book contains some genuinely useful insights about overthinking, rumination, self-judgment, and the destructive mental spirals people can create around situations in life. The author does a good job illustrating how people often turn neutral events into negative identity stories and emotional suffering. However, I think the book’s wording and philosophy can sometimes be misleading or overly broad. The author uses the word “thinking” to describe destructive rumination and self-defeating mental spirals, but the terminology can make it sound as if deep thinking itself is the problem. I disagr
