We ordered one for recycling and one for garbage. The white is true and bright white. Both of them arrived (at the same time) in good condition and without any damage to the cans. They were each packed in a box with a foam thing over the top and one on the bottom, both that extended past the cans a bit. One of the boxes had a small gauge in a corner but because of how it was packaged the can was not damaged by that.The finish is a nice a bright matte white and both cans were manufactured without any flaws. Just got so far so good The box came damaged. Was delivered by FedEx. But the trash can seems to be okay the box had bunch of foam to keep the trash can in place and away from the sides. Soft close. Very sleek design perfect for my pink and blue aesthetic.

My "foot step on/open the trash" broke after many years. It was OK, but I bought this one and what a GREAT trash can it is!! It cleans up easily if you spill on it, so it's always looking good; it has an "open" function so if you're doing a lot of cooking you can leave it open as you are working at the kitchen sink and making multiple trips in a short period of time. The plastic bag holder on the inside grips the plastic liners so much better than my old trash can. Look no further - this is the best deal for the money and the quality plus features make it a clear choice!

Broke after 6 months: the housing that contains the soft close piston broke. Now it just slams shut - metal on metal sound. Painful.
