I have been using this hood for over a month now, I have to say it is a great hood, it is powerful, yet very very quiet. It has 3 level for suction power, I normally only needed the lowest one, and I can barely hear any noise from the fan at this level, if I’m cooking steak or fry lamb, I would turn it up to second level, that would be sufficient and the noise level would be still bearable. I think I only used third level for oven self clean, at that point, I would crack a window open to have some air come in to get some air exchange. Just need install frame wall mount, then mount this on frame and secure with top cabinet.It also easy to use, only few buttons to perform function. compared to almost exactly the same design that we had previously:This one has a Fume Baffle Plate that will remain open after installation, the other model has a motor that opens and closes it automatically.There is also no draft damper/stopper at the exhaust connection adapter, which is a concern combined with the always open babble plate. So I will be adding one myself.The physical buttons are great compared to touch panel, maybe even better. The on button also turns on the fan at the lowest setting, very intuitive and reasonable.This is a great product. Highly recommended.

Installed this to replace my 10yr old PacAir that did not perform. Took me 3 hours to remove, install and clean up the kitchen. Don’t need to modify the duct so it is just plug and play. There is no trick no hiccups and instruction is so easy to follow.Noise level is acceptable and not annoying. If it sucks the oil and steam, u cannot expect it to be dead silent.
