We’ve had this FOTILE range hood for about a year and a half, and it’s easily one of the best appliance upgrades we’ve made to our kitchen. We previously had an over the range microwave that didn’t vent outside, so grease and cooking odors from frying or stir frying would linger throughout the house.The difference is night and day. The suction power is excellent, and it does an amazing job venting out smoke, grease, and strong cooking smells. If you're an Asian family struggling to vent fumes and smoke through existing household hoods then this is the product for you. I also run restaurants with commercial ventilation requirements so I know a thing or two on the subject, whether it's cooking or venting. This unit is QUIET for it's performance: It vents well but for those who care - this is achieved through minimal/non-baffled/no-filter system - Which means you can expect accelerated buildup of grease in the duct systems and associated problems in the downstream vent stack eventually. I can now give a review after owing this hood for almost a year.This is a great hood with very decent suction. You can feel and see the suction power more powerful than any traditional hood. Easy to clean design. The aesthetic has a wow factor but I wonder how much of it is done for practicality vs. purely aesthetic.
