GE Refrigerator Bypass Filter Plug - OEM Replacement (WR17X33825)

We have our fridge water line hooked to our RO system. This bypass allows us to use the RO system without double filtering the water unnecessarily.

I bought this GE bypass filter plug (WR17X33825) after spending way too much time trying to troubleshoot inconsistent water dispensing on my GE refrigerator (model GFE26JYMWFFS). I had just installed a brand‑new XWFE filter, but the fridge still wouldn’t dispense water. Even reinstalling my old filter didn’t fix it. Love, love, love this product! We have had a problem with our ice maker and water dispenser not making much ice and not having a good flow on dispenser since we bought our GE refrigerator. I have replaced the water filters numerous times and it still barely made ice and the flow coming from the water dispenser was barely more than a trickle even with the water valve all the way open. Finally decided to by this bypass plug and what a difference! The water shoots out of the dispenser and fills a glass in seconds and the ice maker is able to fill at least three 40 oz cups at one time! Best purcha

Really nice to have this on hand. Should have come with the fridge, but it's necessary if you want to flush out the water line before you install a new filter.

We installed a whole fridge filter and needed to bypass the fridge filter. Lost the original part but this fit perfectly in my GE fridge. No more light filter going off.
