GE WR57X10098 Valve Dual Water

Got this as a deeply discounted “new” return. Product came intact and packed well. No signs of actually being used before and cost about 1/3 of the equivalent brand new item. Would definitely consider that type of purchase again for items like this. Many times people aren’t 100% sure of the exact item needed and will return these items immediately. Why not take advantage of the lack of original box at a significantly reduced price?

I was getting a buzzing/vibration and low pressure.Except for the two screws to get the cover off, there were no tools involved.Took about 20 minutes.

Did the job it was designed to do. Prompt delivery. Somewhat tricky installation and it took some adjusting, but it did fix the problem.

Delivered on time and is a great replacement however probably not needed. If you have a GE model PFE28KSKNSS and your ice maker has stopped producing ice, it’s likely a frozen black line that runs from valve as shown in pic. So unplug the fridge for two hours (be mindful of food spoiling) or take a hairdryer to the black line. Coldest and therefore most likely place to freeze is behind a full bucket of ice at the top of the door so used a mirror hanging wire with hairdryer to break ice blockage free. Correct replacement. This is the one that goes inside door in the upper left freezer door. There’s a panelOn the inside bottom of the door. Pretty easy to remove, just pop the clips to remove the old tubes. Fixed my ice maker problem.

Direct replacement for a solenoid that went bad on my GE refrigerator. DIY installation was straightforward without any special tools.

It may be better than I rated it, but the original only lasted a couple of years.
