Hello, Im Michael, and Im reviewing the Gigabyte Z790 Eagle AX.First and foremost. Im a brand loyalist and have never built a computer until recently.Im going to be using MOBO which stands for Motherboard from here on out.I was accustomed to using an Alienware 15R2 for almost 10 years. Thats a laptop. Which I worked and worked on squeezing as much as I could out of it. This is an incredible motherboard, I used to have a gigabyte b550 eagle wifi6 but I decided to upgrade my new setu and this was a great option, I would totally recommend this motherboard to anyone looking for great compatibility, beautiful appearance and great performance.

Time to upgrade my 10 year old home build. I don't need anything too fancy, just a solid board with plenty of PCIe slots. This is a full width ATX board so can be a bit tight in your case. Best to load up your CPU, memory & M.2 drives before placing it in the case. Test fire with nothing else & see what happens. 2 things went wrong for me. Board didn't always fire (turns out I needed to upgrade my power supply (which I had considered anyway). This board has TWO 2x4 CPU power connections & it's obviously happier if you use both. My 2x16GB memory kit was recognized properly BUT didn't run in dua

Zero stars. This board has major problems, and cannot be considered viable. It had an incredibly poor POST performance. When returned to the manufacturer, with a “no trouble found” answer, it was still a huge fail. I had to buy another board from a reputable manufacturer to get my rig running again. I can’t possibly give this product a low enough rating. The board for free would be a loss. Total fail fail fail. The manufacturer would not even support it.

Needed a new motherboard after upgrading my CPU: my old one just wasn’t compatible anymore. Ended up going with the GIGABYTE Z790 Eagle AX, and I’m really happy with it so far. Installation was painless, everything booted right up, and the BIOS is clean and easy to work with.Gaming performance is excellent. Battlefield 6 runs smoothly with no lag or hiccups, and the system feels fast and stable overall. Solid build quality, good temps, and no random crashes or quirks so far.
